Measurement
Best Fitting Shirt Measurements
We know that taking measurements can be a bit tedious, so we’ve worked hard to make it as easy for you as possible. Please help us to create the perfect fit for you by reading the instructions carefully and giving us the correct measurements.
What will you need?
1. A fabric measuring tape. Please avoid string or metallic measuring tape.
2. A best fitting shirt.
When taking measurements:
1. Always take the true measurement. Never ever! pull the measuring tape tight or give any ease.
The key to keeping this process short and simple is to not think about it too much – don’t fret over ¼ of an inch – all the measurements will be scrutinized by our Master Tailor and he will get back to you if something is out of the ordinary. Just be consistent in how you measure - Ideally, taking a few sets of measurements for those who are novices at this is the best thing to do.
Shirt Length
How to Measure: Measure from just next to the collar, where the seam is on the shoulder, to the bottom hem.
The measurement you enter here will be the length of your finished shirt.
Chest
How to Measure: Measure with the shirt facing up, smoothed out, and buttoned, measure from under the armhole edge on the left, across the chest to under the right armhole edge on the right.
The measurement you enter here will be the measurement of your finished shirt's chest.
Important Note: Due to the extra material & workmanship costs involved, we charge an extra amount for any suit with a chest size greater than 43 inches. If applicable, additional charges will add £3/$5.
Waist
How to Measure: At the waistline of the shirt, measure from the left edge across to the right edge.
The measurement you enter here will be the measurement of your finished shirt's waist.
Hips
How to Measure: At shirt bottom, measure from the left edge across to the right edge.
The measurement you enter here will be the measurement of your finished shirt's hip.
Shoulder Width
How to Measure:Place shirt down so the back is facing you, smoothed out. Place tape measure at the seam of the left shoulder and measure across to the seam of the right shoulder.
The measurement you enter here will be the measurement of your finished shirt's shoulder.
Collar Width
How to Measure:Un-button shirt. Place shirt down so the back is facing you. Flip up the collar to expose the neckband, measure from the middle of the button across to the middle of the buttonhole.
The measurement you enter here will be the measurement of your finished shirt's collar.
Sleeve Length (Long)
How to Measure:Measure from the shoulder seam along the upper edge of the sleeve to the end of the cuff. If you are taking measurement from French (double) cuff shirt, please make sure to fold the cuff prior to the measurement.
The measurement you enter here will be the length of your finished shirt's sleeve.
Sleeve Length (Short)
How to Measure:Measure from the shoulder seam along the upper edge of the sleeve to the end of the cuff. If you are taking measurement from French (double) cuff shirt, please make sure to fold the cuff prior to the measurement.
The measurement you enter here will be the length of your finished shirt's sleeve.
Armhole
How to Measure:Measure from the upper edge of the sleeve/shoulder, down to the lower seam where the sleeve meets the body.
The measurement you enter here will be the measurement of your finished shirt's armhole.

Please help us create the perfect fit for you, by reading the instructions carefully and giving us the correct measurements. Please make sure you provide us with the correct measurements, it is extremely important!
For the first time customer, who is not sure of self-measurements, we would suggest you to send us a sample of your favorite outfit, so we can copy the existing measurements, with alterations, if required, and we will mail it back to you with your order.
What will you need?
1. A fabric measuring tape. Please avoid string or metallic measuring tape.
2. Assistance from another person, as it can be very difficult to take accurate measurements yourself alone with the necessary accuracy
When taking measurements:
1. Always take the true measurement. Never pull the measuring tape too tight, or give it too much ease.
2. All measurements should be made to nearest ½ inch.
3. When taking the measurements stand upright, don't slouch or bend over to read the inches as this won't give you a true measurement.
4. Please provide us your actual measurements and don't just mention off-the-rack sizes that you wear. A custom tailored item is designed to fit your unique specifications, rather than the rough-and-ready approximations and averages used in off-the-rack clothing.
The key to keeping this process short and simple is to not think about it too much – don’t fret over ¼ of an inch – all the measurements will be scrutinised by our Master Tailor and we will get back to you if something seems out of the ordinary.
Shirt
In order to get the type of fit that you like, we would ask you to indicate your preferred fit style below. Our tailors would then add the appropriate allowances to improve the fit of the finished Shirt.
1. The classic fit adds 3-4 inches of fullness to chest, waist and hip measures (for e.g. if the actual chest measurement is 42 inches then choosing the classic fit would give a chest of 45-46 inches for the finished Shirt ).
2. Slim fit reduces this allowance to 2-3 inches.
3. The extra full option increases it to 5-6 inches.
Shirt Length
What to wear: Shirt (Not Jacket)
How to Measure: Measure vertically down your front, from next to the collar on your shirt, where the seam is on your shoulder, to the point level with your thumb knuckle (adopt an upright position with both arms on your sides). Should you require a longer/shorter Shirt please measure accordingly.
You can also use a Shirt you like as a guide.
This measurement helps us determine your Shirt length, but is not the only factor we consider. We also look at your height, and the type of jacket we are tailoring for you.
Chest
What to wear: Shirt (Not Jacket)
How to Measure:Measure around your chest at its widest point, roughly at the level of the nipples. Ensure the measuring tape passes underneath your armpits and over your shoulder blades at the back. Don't keep the measuring tape to be higher in the front or back, it must be level all the way around and should be snug, not pulling tightly, and not loose.
This measurement is a body measurement and there will be an allowance added to it to make your jacket, the allowance will be added according to the fit that you chose.
Important Note: Due to the extra material & workmanship costs involved, we charge an extra amount for any suit with a chest size greater than 43 inches. If applicable, additional charges will add $5.
Stomach
What to wear: Shirt (Not Jacket)
How to Measure: Measure around your waist roughly at the level of your navel or right below your bottom ribs, whichever is larger. As a guide this measurement should be where you are widest. Don't keep the measuring tape to be higher in the front or back, it must be level all the way around and don't breathe in!
This measurement is a body measurement and there will be an allowance added to it to make your jacket, the allowance will be added according to the fit that you chose.
Seat/Hips
What to wear: Shirt (Not Jacket)
How to Measure: Measure around your hips and buttocks at their widest point. Make sure you don't have anything in your pockets; otherwise you may get a measurement which is too large.
Shoulder Width
What to Wear: Shirt
How to Measure:
1. Stand from the back and visualize where the end of the shoulder is.
2. The end of the shoulder is a knobby area where the vertical plane of the arm intersects the horizontal plane of the shoulder.
3. Measure from the left end of the shoulder to the right end of the shoulder.
4. Ensure you take the curved contour over the top of the shoulders as shown.
This is the measurement we see taken wrong most often – to check this measurement wear your best fitting jacket and take this measurement again (from shoulder end to shoulder end)– now look at both - your jacket measurement should be the same to ½ inch larger. If it’s not, ask yourself is this jacket too large or too small, and from this you can now more accurately determine your shoulder size.
Sleeve Length
What to wear: Shirt (Not Jacket)
How to Measure: The sleeve measurement should be taken from exactly the same point you used earlier for the "Shoulder" measurement. (Tip: Place a safety pin where you determined the shoulder points to be on measurement above) Do NOT bend your arm and measure to a point at the wrist where you want the sleeve to end. Sleeve length is a personal choice, though recommended to end at the wrist joint so that shirt cuffs can show.
If you are unsure take the measurement from an existing suit jacket. Take the measurement from the tip of the sleeve to the cuff edge.
Bicep
What to wear: Shirt (Not Jacket)
How to Measure:Measure around the fullest part of the bicep with the arms by your side. Please note there is no need to flex, unless you are a body builder.
Waist
What to wear: Shirt (Not Jacket)
How to Measure: Measure around the fullest part of the wrist.
Neck
What to wear: Shirt (Not Jacket)
How to Measure: Measure around your neck at the height where your collar, if buttoned, would be This measurement should be taken along the lower section of the neck, below your Adams Apple and above your Sternal Notch. The tape should be comfortably touching the skin, with enough room so that you do not feel restrict.

A well-chosen long sleeve shirt can easily improve your appearance, whether you’re heading to a weekend brunch or just hanging out with friends.

These shirts are made of breathable, soft materials like cotton or flannel, which ensures your comfort throughout the day. They are available in several styles, ranging from traditional plaid to adaptable solids, which you may pair with shorts, chinos, or jeans. You will have plenty of room to move and still look put together thanks to the relaxed fit. Seek for shirts with delicate patterns for a more sophisticated appearance.

Best casual long sleeve shirts

Comfort and style are essential while looking for the best casual long sleeve shirts. With the correct shirt, you may dress up your regular outfit and still look good for many different situations.

Let’s start by thinking about fabric. The best shirts are those composed of soft, breathable materials, like flannel or premium cotton. They offer a cozy fit that is suitable for all seasons and feels fantastic throughout the day. For a breathable alternative that’s ideal for warmer weather, go for a linen blend if you’re searching for something a little lighter.

Fit is also very important. A shirt that fits nicely gives off a laid-back vibe without being overly baggy. Seek alternatives that come in multiple sizes and with cuffs that can be adjusted to provide the ideal fit for your body type.

Comfortable casual long sleeve shirts

For easygoing, daily wear, cozy long sleeve shirts are revolutionary. They are a flexible mainstay in every wardrobe since they blend ease of wear with flair.

Start with the fabric; comfortable flannel or premium cotton are excellent examples of soft, breathable textiles. Not only do these materials feel wonderful against your skin, but they also aid in controlling body temperature, ensuring your comfort throughout the day. A blend of cotton and linen is a good option if you want something that can be worn all year round because it is breathable and light, yet still provides warmth on chilly days.

Fit is also very important. Seek for shirts that are cut loosely but not too baggy. Enough room should be provided for movement in a well-fitting shirt without appearing sloppy. A slightly reduced waist and cuffs that are adjustable can help ensure a better fit.

Trendy casual long sleeve shirts

The goal of trendy casual long sleeve shirts is to seem put together while yet making a statement. They’re ideal for giving your regular outfit a contemporary feel without compromising comfort.

Fabric selections have a significant impact on trends. Seek for shirts composed of modern materials such as lightweight twill or brushed cotton. These materials feel soft against your skin and have a stylish appearance. Think of adding shirts with distinct textures or understated designs to give your ensemble a modern spin.

Fit is crucial. Trendy shirts frequently have a thin or tailored cut that creates a clean, contemporary look. On the other hand, a loose fit with some structure can also appear effortlessly stylish. Take note of small things, such as the adjustable cuffs.

Affordable casual long sleeve shirts

Casual long sleeve shirts at reasonable prices are an excellent method to update your wardrobe without going over budget. They provide the ideal balance of comfort and style at a cost that won’t break the bank.

When looking for affordable solutions, pay attention to high-quality textiles that provide comfort and longevity. Due to its softness and breathability, cotton is a common material choice. Additionally, hybrids like cotton-polyester that combine ease of care and comfort may be available.

Fit matters, even when spending less. Seek for shirts that don’t compromise style for price by choosing a classic or relaxed fit. Numerous brands sell well-fitting shirts that give off a polished appearance without breaking the bank. A variety of sizes and adjustable cuffs can assist you in finding a shirt that fits.

Particulars might also have an impact. Examine the general craftsmanship, button quality, and stitching. Even while they might not have all the bells and whistles of designer shirts, well-made inexpensive choices can nonetheless feel and look fantastic.

In conclusion, searching for reasonably priced casual long sleeve shirts entails evaluating materials, fits, and styles that complement your style and budget. You may get affordable and adaptable shirts that are ideal for daily wear by doing some browsing around.

Stylish casual long sleeve shirts

With little effort, you can easily boost your everyday style with stylish casual long sleeve shirts. They are an adaptable complement to any wardrobe because they combine comfort and current design.

Start with textiles that have some flair if you want to create a fashionable appearance. Consider materials other than standard cotton, such as lightweight linen blends that provide a hint of refinement or brushed cotton for a smooth, luxurious feel. These materials guarantee that you remain comfortable all day long in addition to having a fantastic appearance.

The secret to getting a fashionable look is fit. Seek for shirts with a thin or tailored fit; these can accentuate your figure without being overly restrictive. A well-fitting shirt contributes to a polished, put together, and effortlessly stylish appearance.

Your shirt can stand out with little touches like distinctive buttons, contrasting stitching, or a stylish pocket design. These minor details give an otherwise straightforward work personality and sophistication.

Finally, it’s critical to be adaptable. Select shirts that you may wear casually or dress up, depending on the situation. Wear them casually with jeans or smartly casually with a blazer layered underneath.

To sum up, well-made materials, a superb fit, and well-considered details come together in chic casual long sleeve shirts to produce a look that’s both comfortable and stylish. You may easily elevate your everyday style with the appropriate shirt.

Casual long sleeve shirts for work

Professionalism and comfort are perfectly balanced in casual long sleeve shirts for work. On days when you want to look put together without feeling overly formal, they’re perfect.

Prioritize breathable and long-lasting textiles while selecting a work shirt. Premium cotton or cotton mixes are excellent options since they keep you feeling comfortable all day long without sacrificing style. Soft flannel or a lightweight wool blend can provide a little warmth in cooler weather without sacrificing flair.

Fit is also important. Seek for shirts that fit slim or tailored to provide you a sleek appearance and maximum movement freedom. Stay away from clothes that are too baggy; they can look messy. A garment that fits nicely gives you confidence

Colors and patterns must to be adaptable. Traditional solid colors, such as gray, navy, or soft earth tones, go well with chinos or formal pants. They can also be worn casually on their own or dressed up with a jacket. Small checks or stripes are subtle patterns that can provide interest without becoming overly noticeable.

You may dress up a casual shirt for work with details. Choose styles with simple buttons, clean lines, and collars. These small touches give you a fashionable yet polished appearance without being unduly ostentatious.

In conclusion, work-appropriate casual long sleeve shirts blend style and comfort. To make sure you feel comfortable and look professional throughout your workday, opt for versatile styles, well-fitting fabrics, and high-quality fabrics.
